--Animal Welfare and Companion Animals--

This art collection was inspired by companion animals such as birds, cats, and dogs who share our lives and ourhomes with us. Some wild animals and other creatures are also included in some of the drawings.

Ever since she can remember, Lisa Imbriglio recalls caring about animals. Whenever possible, she contributes to animal welfare organizations and local animal shelters where she lives. Today her pets are kitty cats, including her cat Matilda.

Our staff members Rosemarie Long and Maureen Bourke also have pets. Rosemarie and her family have a dog named K.C. who is a Golden Retriever. K.C. lives with her family by a lake and is a sporty dog who swims in the lake and has been on many boatrides. Maureen has an English Setter named Parker, and the Bourke family also shares their home with a goldfish named Felini. Felini has a great appetite and looks forward to his breakfast every morning. When Maureen and her family moved to England, Parker stayed in the United Stated with trusted neighbors until she was ready to make the trip to Europe. It was around Christmastime, when Maureen's husband Mark made a special trip back to the United States to pick up Parker so she could be reunited with her family in England.

The "Animal Welfare" art collection is a tribute to our companion animals, and to the families and individuals who share their lives with pets, and are concerned about the well-being of animals.

We hope you enjoy viewing this collection.....
and thank you for visiting the Matilda Art Gallery.
